Case Child no 1

First Consultation For : Child #1

15/12/2008

Girl of 14 years of age with mother.

Discovered she was sick in 2004.

Taking ARVs.
Before ARVs had pulmonary TB.

Herpes zoster on leg. It is rare to be on the leg.

Was given first anti TB drug at the age of 5.

Recurring TB since 2004.

In past she had a skin eruption all over her body, as if the whole skin was rotten, the flesh was coming out, very itchy. The skin is still bad.

She has genital warts.

She has cutting and burning pain in the abdomen.

Dry cough.

1st CD4 can’t remember.
Last CD4 (9/08) 700

Tongue pale and a little white.

Pain in the eye.

Lachrymation.

Cervical glands swollen.

Aversion to okra stew.
Averse bitter.

No menstrual period yet, not normal for this age.

Some wheezing respiration.

Fear of dogs.

She is short tempered and she speaks out.

She is hard working, works in the fields and at home, loves to help.

Likes to play.

They won’t give her a report in school because she has not paid the fees.

Loving of family.

Rx: Mercurius 30C once a week

Follow-up 25.1.09

She is better.

Immediately after remedy she got herpes zoster on the left neck.
Sleep better but some tiredness.

Skin is better.
Genital warts disappeared.

Cough gone.
Abdominal pain gone.
Still some swollen glands.
Breathing is better.

Her behaviour is much better, she is no longer angry.
She studies harder and applies herself to work at home, but the mother cannot send her to school because she can't pay the school fees, so she is very worried. The school fees for the term are 8 $. So we paid it. We are not supposed to do this, because 'it turns the people into dependants', but I think missing out on school does the same.

Rx: Mercurius 30c once a week, continue.
